Privacy Policy

This notice concerns Quis Pulsat, the iPhone investigation app by Eric Kern. It does not describe the privacy practices of the Lincoln Consulting website or other products.

Draft — not yet a final privacy policy

The app features, phone-only session storage, and public privacy contact below are confirmed. Backups, audio recordings, outside services, sharing, retention, and other outstanding details still require confirmation before this policy can be finalized or used for an App Store submission.

1. Sensors and session information

During a named session, Quis Pulsat learns a room’s baseline and watches individual device sensors while the app runs in the foreground. Depending on the feature and supported hardware, readings include:

  • Magnetic field, air pressure, microphone, motion, compass, and location readings.
  • Camera depth and LiDAR information on supported iPhones.
  • Nearby Bluetooth devices, an NFC tag at session start, and Ultra Wideband distance during a session.

When a sensor crosses its threshold, the app saves a lead containing the time, sensor, departure from baseline, threshold crossed, and a short recorded sample. Session logs can be reopened. Separate sensor hits remain separate leads.

2. Device permissions

You can review permissions granted to Quis Pulsat in your iPhone’s Settings. The exact permissions requested, when each is requested, and the effect of denying access must be confirmed for the released app.

3. Data handling — pending confirmation

The app owner has confirmed that saved session data is stored only on the phone. This confirms the storage location only; it does not confirm backup behavior, audio recording practices, outside services, sharing, or retention. This draft makes no claim that no data is collected or that data is never shared.

  • Whether session records are included in iCloud or computer backups.
  • Whether microphone samples contain playable audio recordings or only sound-level measurements.
  • Whether accounts, analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or other third-party services are used.
  • Whether information leaves the device, who receives it, and for what purposes.
  • How long records are retained and how users can delete or export them.
  • Any age restrictions and applicable privacy request procedures.

4. What readings mean

A hit is an unusual physical reading, not proof of a supernatural cause. The app does not combine sensor readings into a single score. Quis Pulsat measures what the hardware can measure; you decide what it meant.

5. Privacy contact and policy updates

For privacy questions about Quis Pulsat, contact Lincoln Consulting LLC at privacy@lincolnaiconsulting.com.

The effective date remains unconfirmed and will be added when the app owner approves the completed policy.
